Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel Smell In Vents
A semi common complaint that arises both with our clients and on the Jeep social media communities is a complaint of a strong diesel exhaust smell through the cabin of the vehicle. People experience this smell through the air con vents and often its much worse when the air conditioning is set to suck air from outside the vehicle rather than recirculate. The most common cause for this fault is a small exhaust leak from the vacuum operated actuator at the back of the EGR (Exhau

Jeep Hissing Noise

12 Cars Of Christmas
Our top Pick of the best Vehicles on the market right now. Those who review new or even used cars are not the guys that are seeing these cars day in day out for years. They are not seeing the mechanical failures that come with them and are advising consumers to buy cars that frankly are trash. Cost to Replace Turbo Coolant Hose 3.0 Jeep?
Since publishing our Youtube How to video (see below) on replacing the turbo coolant hose we have taken hundreds of calls and emails globally asking for assistance or thanking us for this content. One of the most common questions is "how much would it cost to get GDL to carry out this repair?" There has been some confusion surrounding this as it seems even our own staff may have made an error in recent weeks when quoting this repair. At the time of publishing the cost to carr

How Poo Gets Into Your Car
Our title is marginally misleading but changes nothing. This blog post surrounds how faeces particles that find themselves floating around inside your vehicle and what the manufacturers have done to combat the small poo follicles that you and your family are breathing in. In years past the air that comes through your air conditioning and heating system was taken through the dash after it flowed across your bonnet. Following a beat up Toyota Hi-Ace packed full of scrap metal a

My Ex Used to Service My Car
A huge number of new clients who come to us, tell me that their ex partner has been looking after her car for the past few years. The assumption she had made in the past, is that he was an able and competent man and the result is that her car is now in good condition. (She may have changed her opinion in recent months but we choose not to comment on that). Upon hearing those words we know that the car we are about to pick up will be complete rubbish aside from one thing. The

Buying a Car for $5K or Less
Inevitably at some point in your life you have owned a car that was out-valued by a used razor blade. Often whilst we were studying, living on campus and making questionable liquid consumption decisions we drove a car that would only comply with safety standards of Mumbai. Dreams of completing your degree and climbing the upper echelons of society were motivators to distract us from our choice to sneak out of a dorm room that smelt of corn chips and spend the night with someo

Air Con Regas Northern Beaches
The long and the short of the vehicle air conditioning is this system is a sealed system. This means that if there is a need for your car to have the air conditioning gas refilled or "degassed" there is a leak in the system somewhere. Traditionally around the warmer months of the year we see a spike in people needing the air-conditioning systems in their vehicles regaled with the belief that this is a depleting gas that routinely needs to be topped up. This is not the case. T

What Is The best Second Hand Car?
Brand Loyalty does not equal an opinion with any credibility. Why Fuel Consumption Figures Are A White Lie
It is universally accepted that when buying a new vehicle the salesman will tell you whatever you want to hear in order to land the sale. It’s not new news, it’s an age old tactic used for centuries by sellers of anything. Even Pablo Escabar managed to talk his way into politics by telling the people of Colombia what they wanted to hear. The new car salesman has many things up his sleeve these days, some are the truth, some are white lies and others are outright lies however
