5 New Electric car manufactures!

Many of these reasons are valid, infrastructure, the vastness of our country and the environmental impact of producing electric cars. All of these angles do spark debate but none can deny there will come a day where the electric car will make the internal combustion engine obsolete. Testla harnessed the early adopters and paved the

Who's The Worst Car Owner According To Mechanics?
"Baby Boomers are the worst customers" or "Chinese make the worst clients" or "Women are the worst clients" These are all socially inappropriate, discriminatory statements that get thrown around inside any industry and the automotive industry is no different. Many of these opinions and views are formed off the back of core values people are taught as children from their parents (unfortunately the Australian Culture has accepted discriminating as the norm) and based on experie

Uber Charging Disabled Customers Extra For Taking Too Long To Get In.
This story relates to a Law suit in the US over Ubers fees charged to disabled clients for additional time spent getting to and into the vehicle. This does not apply to the Australian market but does bring into question the ethics of such a business. Uber will pay more than $2 million and waive wait time fees for disabled passengers to settle U.S. allegations that the ride share company had violated the Americans with Disabilities Act. As part of a two-year agreement, Uber wi

What Are Your Old Tyres Used For?
Various tyre recycling strategies have been used globally over the past few decades. Some far more successful than others. In France an artificial reef was made off the coastline using old tyres. Unfortunately this was unsuccessful as the marine life didn't take to the tyres and the sea bed is now a massive land fill. The French government have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars cleaning this up. More successful strategies for the use of Recycled car tires are products su

Jeep Petrol V6 Misfire Fault
The Jeep petrol V6 Engine fitted to both the Cherokee, The Wrangler and the Grand Cherokee. A common fault that arises with this is a generic fault code for "misfire cylinder X". Given what's involved to get to the plugs and coils (the inlet manifold is required to be removed) its also where we would advise as a starting point too. Its not uncommon for these engines to then either have t

Jeep 3.6 Petrol Cam and Crank Correlation Fault Code P0019
Fault Code P0019 In a Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6 is a common fault. This can be caused by either stretched tinging chains, timing chains out of time for some reason or a faulty reading from the cam angle sensor. We have witnessed a few times that this code is also thrown when the camshaft signal wheel on the rear end of the camshaft becomes damaged. www.gdlauto.com.au https://gdlauto.com.au/blog/ https://www.facebook.com/GDLAutomotive https://www.facebook.com/gdlsubaruparts...

What’s the Difference Between Synthetic Oil and Conventional Oil?
The difference between synthetic and conventional oil (also known as mineral oil) is pretty simple, unless you want to get deep into a scientific discussion. Conventional motor oil is crude oil that has been extracted from the ground and refined. Synthetic oil, on the other hand, is a manufactured product that may be made from modified petroleum components and/or other materials. Is One Better than the Other? Generally, synthetic oil is considered to be better than convention
