Hemi Tick: How to Diagnose.
Own a HEMI and it's developed a tick? The HEMI pushrod V8s are known for lifter failure, which presents itself as a ticking noise. If left unattended, this can turn far worse, resulting in cam lobe wear, misfires, and metal through the engine. However, it's not always a lifter. If your tick is worse cold and goes away once the engine warms up, you may only need some exhaust work. The HEMI V8s are also common for snapping exhaust manifold studs, giving a similar audible sound

Security Bypass: Jeep Ram Dodge. What Is It And How To Get Past It?

In order for after market scan tools to access these systems you will need the St

Don’t Read This. Watch the Video. What Are You Doing? This is one of those builds you’re meant to hear, not read about. Go hit play on the video first. Way better than me trying to describe it. Still here? Alright, let’s talk about it. This one turned out unreal. Ash dropped off his 5.7L V8 Overland with us right as they were welcoming a new baby, timing couldn’t have been better. Congrats again Ash. While he was busy with the important stuff, we got to work on the Jeep. The

Weird Things on JK Wranglers: Handbrake Setup Explained
If you own a JK Wrangler, this is something you need to know. Unlike most vehicles that run rear disc brakes with internal handbrake shoes, the JK Wrangler does things a bit differently. There’s no adjustment at the handbrake lever. That means you can’t just tighten the cable from inside the car when it starts to stretch, which is what a lot of people expect. If your handbrake is sitting too high or not holding properly, the first place to start is the handbrake shoes inside

If you’ve got a WK2 Grand Cherokee and you’re noticing leaks or air conditioning issues, this is something you need to know. Why Mechanics Hate It When You Supply Your Own Parts.
Straight up lets be clear. When you request a mechanic to fit your part, you are effectively taking a steak you purchased at Woolworths into a restaurant and asking the chef to cook it for you, oh and you want the pay less for the privilege. You would never do it. its outrageously rude and entitled, and yet it seems to be ok for people to request this of their mechanic. There are a number of factors at play here which we unpack here. Liability: Regardless of what ever the pap

The 5 most Common Faults On JK Wranglers
Axle Seals The Front axle seals are the most common repair carried out on the JK Wrangler. Starter Motor Tip for Jeep V6 Petrol Engines
The 3.6 Pentastar Engine has a number of variations fitted to a variety of Jeep and other Stellantis products. This platform is used in the WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee, JK Wranglers, JL Wranglers JT Gladiators and we have even seen them in a few Chrysler voyagers and dodge products too. Equally so, the KL Cherokee runs a 3.2 v6 which is very similar and prone to the same failures. All of these engine platforms regardless of the age or series are susceptible to this unique issue

How To Do A Coolant Flush On A Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 3.0
The WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a VM 3.0 diesel engine fitted does not have a coolant drain plug in the block. This makes doing a complete cooling system flush on the vehicle challenging at best. The most effiecent way to do this flush is using a coolant flush machine but not all workshops have these and almost and DIY repairers will not. If you cant get a coolant flush machine the best way to do the flush is to remove the thermostat housing on the front of the engine and re

Ram Air Suspension Delete Australia
Many of the Ram vehicles run air suspension. This is a system that Mopar has featured on a variety of its vehicles across several brands and is often referred to a as Quadra lift suspension system. This system can be problematic resulting in hefty repair invoices for a system that in our opinion was never going to last the life of the vehicle. This forces many owner to look fo

FAULT CODE C1562 - JEEP WK2 - Quadra Lift Compressor Overheating Repair
If your WK2 Grand Cherokee is sitting on its guts or slow to raise, the issue is often linked to the Quadra Lift air suspension system. Most people think the compressor has failed on its own. Why Our Content Seems Contradictory
Healthy people do not go to hospital. You only go if something is wrong. This analogy comes up a lot when people comment on our social media and say our content looks like it is ragging on the product. They see posts on YouTube, Facebook, or Instagram pointing out common issues and assume we do not like the vehicles we work on. That is not the case at all. We love the Product and We Tell the Truth We genuinely love Jeep. Many of our staff own them, myself included. If you hav

How You Talk to Jeep Matters More Than You Think
This vehicle has 134,000km on it, and it’s a perfect real world case study for what we’re talking about here. Spun bearing failure in a diesel. Based on what we see every week in the workshop, we believe this particular failure is linked to towing in Drive instead of using Sport mode but this blog isn’t about why it failed. There’s already plenty of content on our website and social channels covering that. This is about something far more important: How you handle the convers

Grand Cherokee Superseded Altenator
this is going to be a rare one. This is arguably the only time you’ll ever hear us recommend going genuine over aftermarket altenators. If you’re dealing with the well-known EcoDiesel issue that causes these units to fail, and you’re weighing up your replacement options, our advice is simple: Buy the genuine Jeep part. Why We’re Saying This (And Why It Matters) Normally, we send people straight to aftermarket. It’s cheaper, it works, and in most cases it makes far more sense
